University of Gour Banga

The University of Gour Banga (UGB) was established in 2008 by The West Bengal Act XXVI Of 2007 at Malda, West Bengal. University of Gour Banga is one of the latest to be inducted as a State University in West Bengal. Currently, the University of Gour Banga boasts of a total student strength of 1,55,000 approximately which includes students of the affiliated colleges as well. University of Gour Banga includes 25 degree colleges include two newly established government colleges one of which is S.B.S. Government college, Hilli and the other is Kushmundi Government College. The University Campus offers M.A. in English, Bengali, Arabic, Sanskrit, History, Education and M.Sc. in Mathematics.
